The average price to hire a Pianist for a wedding, private party or corporate event in the South East in 2024 was £378. Pianist prices will vary depending on the length of performance you require, travel costs, and the reputation of the act. Expect to pay more for an established artist at the top of their game, with prices going up to £652 for the most experienced musicians. Most weddings and private parties take place on Saturdays between the the beginning of May and the end of September, and for these dates we recommend booking your Pianist 12 months in advance. Most corporate events tend to take place mid-week when availability is generally less of a challenge, and for these we recommend securing your artist approximately 6 months in advance, with the exception of events happening over the busy Christmas / NYE period, which should also be booked 12 months in advance.

You’ll get a secure booking contract which ensures the commitment of your Pianist, and which covers you against a multitude of eventualities. Your contract sets out what’s been agreed between you and the artist, such as the event date, event address, performance times, specific performance requirements, the agreed fees and the payment terms - amongst other things. The artist can’t be substituted for another without your approval, and should something unforeseen happen, you’ll be covered by out-of-hours emergency support.
